about
Game - This is song was heavily influenced by that moment in Silence of the lambs where Buffalo Bill tucks his dick between his legs to Goodbye Horses by Q Lazzarus. The Juxtaposition between the music imagery is haunting and is a very powerful technique. I wanted to figure out a way to bring that vibe in Post Plague. Lyrically it explores disconnect between face to face ,online relationships and dating in this Post apocalyptic future. We are currently in a state of a lot gender friction, maybe with onset of VR and AI people will walk away from physical relationships altogether and opt out for a Virtual one instead.
lyrics
Live a life
Of solitude
Awkward pose
Liquid liner
You wouldn’t spend the time
Nevermind
Lie
To my face
It’s time
I walk away
From your game
Stop looking down
Rewind back to the start
Always
Treat you well
Treat you well
All worried on all fours
Can’t listen anymore
I walked away
Lie
To my face
It’s time
I walk away
From your game

It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles
